What's behind this
Delhi police had warned the municipal corporation about illegal construction at a three‑storey building in Chawri Bazaar months before it collapsed. The building fell on Thursday morning, killing at least two people, injuring four and leaving many feared trapped. Officials said the collapse occurred despite the earlier warning. In a separate incident early Thursday, a fire broke out in Mangal Bazar, Laxmi Nagar, but firefighters contained it with no reported injuries.
