What's behind this
The United States has launched what it describes as defensive strikes on Iran while peace talks are ongoing, according to The National Herald. President Donald Trump warned that if Tehran does not reach a deal to end the West Asian conflict, Washington could target Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain, saying such an operation could be carried out “in literally one hour,” as reported by The Tribune. Earlier coverage noted a US strike on Iran’s Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz and that the US signaled progress in talks to avert a flare‑up.
