Center Owned by Express Publications (Madurai) Ltd.NDA registers landslide victory in Andhra Pradesh municipal polls
What's behind this
Rain delayed vote counting in six urban local bodies, including Vijayawada and Guntur, prompting the state election commission to allow the counting to start at 11.30 am instead of the scheduled 8 am. In Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, heavy rain pushed the count back by five hours. Vangaveeti Radha Krishna is leading the mayoral race with 1.14 lakh votes, and the NDA secured victories in four municipalities in the NTR district.
