What's behind this
US Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi condemned the disruption of a Diwali celebration in Seattle by far‑right activist Jake Lang, calling for an end to anti‑Hindu and anti‑Indian rhetoric and urging that the festival’s message of light over darkness inspire a stand against hatred. Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal also denounced the incident, expressing disgust at the anti‑Hindu and anti‑immigrant placards displayed by Lang and fellow activist Thomas Allen, which included slogans such as “Deport Them” and “Deport All Dot Heads.” The disruption turned the event chaotic.
