CenterVaddiraju visits graduate voter registration centre
What's behind this
Counting of votes for the GVMC elections, held on November 1, began today at ten centres set up across Andhra University. The GVMC recorded a 56.32 percent turnout, with 10,35,154 of the 18,37,901 registered voters casting ballots. The process faced disruption from Cyclone Murasu, but the High Court cleared the way for counting in Pulivendula by dismissing petitions seeking a stay. Early results showed the TDP leading in eight GVMC wards as counting started.
